Pedestrian dies in Block 6 car crash

The accident occurred at around 6:45am near Block 6 Clinic. The driver of the vehicle reported the incident to the police.
Confirming the incident, No.13 District Traffic Officer, Superintendent Obonetse Matshego, said the unidentified man was certified dead upon arrival at Extension 2 Clinic.
Matshego said the deceased was not carrying any form of identification at the time of the accident, making it difficult for police to establish his identity or notify his next of kin.
'We do not know his name or age because he did not have any form of identification in his possession. We are appealing to anyone whose male relative has been missing since Saturday night to come forward and assist with identifying the deceased at Gaborone West Police Station,' said Matshego.
He added that the driver, a 24-year-old man, is currently in police custody as investigations into the fatal accident continue.
Police have urged anyone with information that may assist in identifying the deceased to report to the nearest police station.
