Two tragic bus crash victims yet to be identified

Palapye Police Station commander, Superintendent Koziba Phuluweni, said four of the deceased sustained less severe injuries.
This, he explained, made it easier for them to be identified, whilst the remaining five suffered extensive injuries, complicating the identification process.
Phuluweni added that amongst the victims, additional two who sustained severe injuries have not yet been identified.
The station head revealed that some of the 37 passengers, who were injured in the crash, have since been discharged from hospital.
Others remain admitted in hospitals across the Central District receiving medical treatment.
The nine people who lost their lives are the bus driver and eight passengers. Of the deceased, three were male, and six were female.
The tragic accident occurred on Sunday evening when a northbound passenger bus from Gaborone with 45 occupants on board reportedly hit a cow.
It is reported that the impact caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle before it overturned, resulting in the deaths and multiple injuries.
Police have appealed to members of the public whose relatives are believed to have travelled on the bus on Sunday evening and who have not yet been located to contact Palapye Police Station.
They say this will assist in identifying both the remaining deceased and passengers who are still receiving treatment and may not yet have been identified.
