Organisers had warned fans ahead of the event to dress warmly, with blankets and fleece coverings even permitted inside the stadium due to the expected cold weather.

The conditions lived up to expectations, so did the entertainment on the pitch. The football spectacle featuring legends from Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, Township Rollers and Mochudi Centre Chiefs was complemented by a strong line-up of local artists and DJs who kept supporters entertained throughout the day.

The highlight of the entertainment programme came during halftime of the final when Ezra Neethings took centre stage for the headline performance.

As the rain continued to fall lightly, the artist delivered an energetic set that transformed the stadium into a giant sing-along, with supporters dancing and cheering from the stands despite the cold weather.

Earlier in the day, Han-C had drawn loud cheers from the crowd with a performance that showcased why he remains one of Botswana's most popular entertainers.

Legendary cultural group, Culture Spears, also brought their trademark traditional rhythms and crowd favourites to the National Stadium, adding a uniquely local flavour to an event that attracted football fans from across Botswana and neighbouring South Africa.

Behind the decks, DJ Lebgee and DJ Skizoh ensured there was never a dull moment. The pair kept the atmosphere alive between matches as fans eagerly awaited the next football showdown or musical performance.

Adding another layer of excitement was the popular Betway Kick Challenge, which offered supporters an opportunity to walk away with P5,000.

The challenge quickly became one of the crowd's favourite attractions, with contestants stepping onto the pitch to test their accuracy while thousands watched from the stands.

Every attempt was met with anticipation, cheers and groans, turning ordinary supporters into temporary stars and further strengthening the connection between fans and the event.

The entertainment package demonstrated how the Betway Clash of Legends has evolved beyond being a football tournament. What began as a charity initiative aimed at supporting former footballers has grown into a full-scale sporting and entertainment experience.

For many supporters, Saturday was not simply about seeing former stars roll back the years. It was about enjoying a complete match-day experience that blended football nostalgia, live music and fan engagement.

Even as temperatures dropped and rain continued to sweep across the National Stadium intermittently, supporters remained firmly behind the event. Some danced in the aisles, others sang along to familiar tunes, while many braved the weather from underneath blankets and thick jackets.

By the time Orlando Pirates Legends lifted the trophy, the football aspect may have provided the headline result, but the entertainment had played an equally important role in ensuring the fourth edition of the Betway Clash of Legends was remembered for much more than what happened on the pitch.
