TECHNICAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Master Farmer Feeds (Pty) Ltd require the services of a TECHNICAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
for its’ Animal Feed and One-Day-Old Chick producing operations in Botswana. Reporting to the Managing
Director and Regional Technical Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for management and providing
guidance on all technical matters related to its business operations, while also driving sales, building customer
relationships, and supporting the growth of the business across the region.
Key responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:
l
Do farm visits on a regular basis to give technical advice and support to the customers.
l
Evaluate the performance of products and feeding programs.
l
Problem solving and handling of claims with the necessary administration.
l
Do feed mill formulations with format formulation program.
l
Provide technical support and training to the customers.
l
Interact and coordinate with technical institutes and relevant regulators.
l
Gather production information from farmers to use as proof of product performance.
l
Give technical feedback on product performance and new products where necessary.
l
Keep abreast with new market opportunities as well as evaluation of the market with regards to
trends and prices.
l
Drive technical sales and grow the customer base through structured account management, dealer
relationships, and farmer engagement across the region.
The prospective candidate must possess the following minimum attributes
l
A relevant qualification in Agriculture, Animal Science, Business Management, or equivalent practical
experience in the animal feed or livestock industry.
l
Postgraduate qualification or currently pursuing further studies in Animal Nutrition, Business
Management, or a related field will be an advantage.
l
Minimum 10 years of working experience in the agricultural, livestock, or animal feed industry, with
demonstrated technical advisory, operational management and sales management expertise.
l
Dynamic, self-motivated, analytical, highly organised and disciplined, with a proven track record of
achieving sales targets and business growth.
l
Good Team player, leadership, and people management skills.
l
Technically sound and good customer relationship skills.
l
Computer literate.
l
Valid Class B Driver’s licence.
l
Entrepreneurial skills and be able to work under pressure and conflict.
