Exit door swings open at Rollers

The long-serving administrator's departure last week has added to growing concerns at the record league champions, who continue to battle financial difficulties and now face the prospect of losing several key figures ahead of next season. The resignation comes at a critical period for Popa. Rollers recently saw their league campaign end in seventh position, the lowest in the past decade.
The team's chances at silverware were dimmed by rivals Gaborone United (GU) in the Orange FA Cup quarterfinals. The result condemned the club to a seventh consecutive season without major silverware.
Whilst attention in recent weeks had shifted to improvements on the field, focus has once again returned to off-field challenges. Magagane is understood to have stepped down, citing challenges within the club that made it difficult for him to continue in the role.
His exit leaves a void in the administration at a time when Rollers are searching for stability and fresh investment.
The uncertainty extends beyond the boardroom as head coach Tor Thodesen is amongst those whose future remains unresolved.
The Norwegian has received praise for helping transform the team's performances since his arrival, bringing greater organisation and structure to a side that had struggled for consistency.
However, Thodesen recently stopped short of committing himself to the club beyond the current campaign. The coach indicated that 'good things' would need to happen before he could consider staying on, comments widely interpreted as a reference to Rollers' financial situation.
Assistant coach, Oarabile Seabo, is also linked with a move away from the club. Seabo, who briefly served as interim head coach before Thodesen's appointment, is reportedly attracting interest from Dinare FC.
Goalkeeper coach, David Puso is another member of the technical team believed to be weighing his options, with Tonota FC and Orapa United amongst clubs linked with his services.
Several players are also said to be considering their futures, particularly amongst the foreign contingent, as uncertainty continues around the club.
Rollers are understood to still owe salaries to players and members of staff as financial challenges persist. Despite the concerns, there are signs of optimism.
Multiple investors and strategic partners continue to be linked with the club as Rollers seek long-term financial stability. MmegiSport has also established that discussions with a number of potential partners are progressing positively.
