Confirming the incidents, Serowe Police Station commander, Senior Superintendent Poloko Oteng, said the suspect remains at large, whilst investigations are ongoing.

Oteng explained that the suspect, his 41-year-old ex-girlfriend, and her female friend had been drinking at the same bar on the night of the incident.

'Following the closure of the bar, the suspect allegedly followed his ex-girlfriend to her home, where she was in the company of her friend. Upon arrival, he reportedly dragged her outside the yard and later assaulted and raped her out of her friend's sight,' Oteng said.

After the alleged rape, the suspect is said to have gone in search of the woman's friend. He later found her in the company of her 39-year-old boyfriend and allegedly attacked the man.

'He assaulted him and, in the process, bit and cut off both of his ears before fleeing the scene,' Oteng said.

Police have since launched an investigation and are appealing to members of the public who may have information regarding the suspect's whereabouts to report to the nearest police station.
