In a notice signed by club chairman, Thapelo 'Fish' Pabalinga today, the club confirmed that Magagane officially stepped down from his position effective May 31, 2026.
“The General Manager, Mr Sydney Magagane has resigned from the position of General Manager-Township Rollers Football Club (TRFC) effective 31 May 2026,” the statement reads.
The club said all correspondence and official matters relating to Township Rollers should, with immediate effect, be directed to secretary general, Ofentse Mosekiemang until a new general manager is appointed.
While the statement did not disclose the reasons behind Magagane’s departure, the club took the opportunity to acknowledge his contribution and service over the years.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Magagane for his many years dedicated to serving Township Rollers. We wish him well in his future endeavors,” the club stated.
Magagane’s exit comes at a time when Township Rollers continues to rebuild and reposition itself following recent seasons marked by administrative and on-field challenges. His departure leaves a key vacancy within the club’s leadership structure, while the search for a replacement expected to begin in the coming weeks.
