The custom-made trophy will be Mochudi or Jwaneng-bound at the end of what should be a captivating final. Galaxy are the defending champions, whilst Magosi will look to make a statement win after years in the wilderness.
Under the National Stadium floodlights, either Chiefs’ Spanish coach, Miguel Corral Torreira or his Galaxy Bulgarian counterpart, Dimitar Pantev will lift the coveted trophy.
In an interview posted on the club's Facebook page, Torreira reflected on a tough journey for Magosi.
'This club was in the First Division two seasons ago; now we are resurrecting it step-by-step. Now we are in the final after a long time. It is very important for the club, and I am very proud to be in the final, but it is not enough for us; we are very ambitious, and we need more,' he said.
No immediate comment could be obtained from the Galaxy technical team.
In the semi-final, Chiefs overcame Orapa United 2-1 whilst Galaxy progressed at the expense of Gaborone United.
As they prepare to face each other, the two teams dominate the list of Orange FA Cup award nominees released during a press briefing in Gaborone on Wednesday.
In the goalkeeper of the year award, Keagile Kgosipula of Chiefs is up against Goitseone Phoko of Galaxy and Orapa United's Gaolatlhe Tshupegetso.
Ratlhogo Ratlhogo (Orapa), Gift Moyo (Galaxy), Nahuel Melgarijo and Ronaldo Fortune (both Chiefs) have been nominated for the Player of the Tournament award.
Torreira and Pantev are nominated for the Coach of the Year award alongside Gaborone United's Sean Connor and Tumelo Moumakwa of Lokgwabe United. Orange Botswana public relations and communications manager, Tebogo Nadisah, said the highlight of the seventh edition has been the remarkable journey of Jwaneng Young Stars and regional side, Lokgwabe United.
Both sides reached the quarter-finals of the premier knock-out competition.
'It is a story that, like many others, validates the importance of this competition and the role of broadening opportunities in Botswana football,' she said.
Nadisah noted that Orange Botswana's commitment to sport remains unwavering despite economic challenges.
Total prize money is P2.7 million, with the winner receiving P800,000 while the losing finalists will get P400,000. The player of the tournament will receive P50,000.
