The suspects in the matter have been identified as Fanes Manyewe, a Zimbabwean national, and Adriano Caetano, a Mozambican national, who remain at large nearly 11 months after the incident.

On the night of June 5, 2025, the suspects allegedly fled with the victim’s vehicle, which was later recovered by police. Despite investigations that have dragged on for almost a year, police have yet to make a breakthrough in locating and arresting the suspects.

Reached for an interview, Ramotswa Police Station commander, Superintendent James Moikwathai, said they remain hopeful that the suspects will eventually be brought to justice.

“The investigations are still ongoing on the matter. Last year, we heard reports that they were seen in South Africa, but we have not located them as yet. Our investigators are working tirelessly with the assistance of the South African police to locate and arrest the suspects,” said Moikwathai.

He assured the public that law enforcement officers are committed to pursuing the matter until the suspects are arrested. Moikwathai also appealed to members of the public to assist police with any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects.

Initially, Security Systems personnel reported the matter, responding to an alarm at the deceased’s residence on the night of the incident.

Upon arrival, the security guards reportedly knocked on the door but received no response. They then discovered that the door was unlocked and noticed blood stains leading to the victim’s bedroom.

Inside the bedroom, they found Ramhago lying motionless with both her hands and legs tied up, and her mouth covered. Her then 18-month-old child was found unharmed beside her.

Police said that although the deceased’s body did not show visible injuries, she was certified dead at the scene, prompting an investigation into what has since become one of the country’s most disturbing unresolved murder cases.
