The officer then immediately rushed to the crime scene, where they found the woman lying motionless in bed with a rope beside her, he explained.
“She did not have any visible injuries, but we suspect that she might have been strangled to death using that rope,” Nkalolang said.
According to the deputy police head in the area, the deceased was rushed to Bobonong Primary Hospital, where doctors certified her dead on arrival.
Nkalolang added that officers have since launched an investigation into the matter and are currently searching for the deceased’s boyfriend, whom they suspect may assist in the matter.
“Efforts are underway to locate her boyfriend, who is currently at large, so that he can be questioned in connection with her death,” added said.
Police investigations are ongoing.
