Afro Ventures Botswana (Pty) Ltd T/A andBeyond requires a capable, stable, and energetic

Technical Services Manager andBeyond is built, almost entirely, on the strength of remarkable

people who give passionately to their roles, work tirelessly, and have the guest experience at

the core of their focus daily as well as care of both communities and the environment.

Key Outputs:

• Maintenance of all electrical equipment at remote lodges i.e., solar plants, generators,

water systems and sewage treatment plants

• Servicing and maintenance of water pumps, boreholes, and well-points.

• Regular tests of drinking, grey and black water.

• Advice on any upgrade needed for any equipment including sourcing quotes and

sustainable solutions.

• Managing and setting up water and power budgets & costs.

• Form and maintain relationships with external suppliers and contractors.

• Responsible for all maintenance projects in camp related to power and water

consumption.

• Implement preventative maintenance measures.

Qualifications:

• A diploma/degree in a trade (plumbing, carpentry, engineering, etc)

• Working knowledge of Excel and Word

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience

• A valid and un-endorsed drivers license

• Meticulous attention to detail and good organisational ability.

• Lateral thinking ability, as well as initiative, and strong analytical skills

• Professional and courteous at all times.

• Must be able to lead their team and take corrective action when necessary.

• Energetic, proactive and self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines.
