The donation, which took place on Wednesday, May 6, at Mmatshumu Primary School, was aimed at improving the learning conditions for students and teachers. These efforts directly improve the academic performance of the school and also reinforce dignity and care across the community.

Speaking during the ceremony, PMP Contracts Director at EH Construction, Donald Kalaote, said the donation was part of the organisation’s commitment to supporting education and community development. “We believe that by providing these resources, we hope to create a better learning environment for students and teachers,” he said. As education remains one of the key priorities in every nation, schools are undergoing meaningful upgrades, with old furniture and other teaching materials like chalkboards being replaced by whiteboards, creating a more conducive learning environment for both teachers and students.

Meanwhile, Mmatshumu Primary school head, Elizabeth Mogorosi, welcomed the gesture with high spirit and thanked EH Construction for their generosity. She explained that both learners and teachers had been struggling due to inadequate furniture and old chalkboards.

“These donations will greatly improve teaching and learning in our school. Our children will now be more comfortable in class, while their teachers will also enjoy doing their duty with better equipment,' he said.

For his part, the area Councilor Gasethata Oagile also praised the company for supporting local education and encouraging academic success among young people in his community. Modise also praised LUCARA, which accompanied EH Construction as their partners, known for also donating to areas across the region, one of them being Letllhakane Village, which received a stadium (LUCARA Stadium) from LUCARA.

“We are highly grateful for your support in our region; we do not take that for granted. We promise to protect and take good care of every little thing we get from you,” he added.
