“I’m very excited about the coming relays that are being hosted here in our city, Gaborone, the first African country to host this kind of event. It’s one of the exciting moments for us as Botswana. Unfortunately, I won’t be there, but I had hoped to be there during the relays so that I could see other athletes compete against our boys here in Botswana. I’m rooting for Team Botswana to win the medals.”

Student“I don’t have a ticket. I haven’t bought a ticket yet. I’m still trying to sort out my itinerary because I don’t know what this weekend is bringing for me. I’m a student, by the way. I’m in high school, so that’s why I don’t have a ticket.”

Atang Otto “I really wished to attend the World Relays, but unfortunately, now I’m not going to be there. I’m raising an autistic child. My son is autistic. My son is currently staying with my mom, his grandmother. So, on weekends, unfortunately, I leave my mother. I had wished to be there at the stadium, but unfortunately, I’m not going to be at the stadium. But I wish the team good luck in all the races.”

Supporter“I bought my ticket two weeks ago with my friends. We are so eager for the World Relays! As soon as we heard Botswana is hosting, we said this is history in the making, and we cannot miss it.

We are going as a group to support Team Botswana, especially in the 4x400m. We want to see our boys run fast and bring medals. The atmosphere is going to be crazy. We are very excited and ready to cheer loudly for the whole weekend.”
