Chinese nationals assaulted, robbed in Molepolole

According to police, the incident was reported at around 2 am.

Confirming the matter, Lekgwapheng Police Station commander, Superintendent Mothosera Busang, said four armed men, in possession of metal rods, attacked the Chinese nationals, assaulting and robbing them of cash and valuables.

“The suspects stole cash amounting to P10,000, two mobile phones, three laptops, clothing items, and a Toyota Hilux belonging to the victims,” Busang said.

He further revealed that the victims sustained injuries during the attack but were treated and discharged on the same day.

Busang added that the stolen vehicle was later recovered at around 10 am in Bokaa Ward. The vehicle was found abandoned, unlocked, with the keys still inside.

Police have since launched an investigation into the incident to locate the suspects, who remain at large, and recover the stolen property.

Police have urged members of the public to report any information that could assist in the investigation.
