In a press release issued today, the Kgatleng giants confirmed that Mangolo’s stay at the club has come to an abrupt end following “repeated breaches of contractual obligations and the Club’s internal regulations.”

The club stated that despite previous disciplinary action taken against the player, Mangolo failed to improve or meet the standards expected of him.

“The decision follows repeated breaches of contractual obligations and the Club’s internal regulations. Despite prior disciplinary action, Kitso Mangolo failed to meet the standards of discipline, professionalism and commitment expected at the Club,” reads part of the statement.

Chiefs further indicated that the relationship between the player and management had reached a point of no return.

“Management has determined that the employment relationship has irretrievably broken down, leaving no alternative but termination,” the statement added.

Mangolo had recently been at the centre of controversy at Magosi after assistant coach Skhana Koko revealed that the player had not been allowed back into the team due to disputes between him and management.

The latest development brings an end to what had promised to be a fruitful stint for the player at one of Botswana’s most followed football clubs.

Mochudi Centre Chiefs emphasised that the decision reflects the club’s commitment to discipline and professionalism.

“The Club remains committed to maintaining high standards and will not compromise on discipline and integrity,” the statement concluded.

Mangolo’s next move remains uncertain as he now finds himself clubless following his dramatic exit from Magosi.
