Police probe defilement as 13-year-old suffers miscarriage

It is alleged that the teenager began complaining of severe abdominal pains on Friday night whilst they were asleep.
The youngster’s condition reportedly worsened, forcing her family to rush her to Nkoyaphiri Clinic at around 2am on Saturday to seek medical attention.
Whilst receiving medical attention, doctors discovered that the girl was three months pregnant and in the process of miscarrying.
Ramaphoi stated that the minor has since admitted to a relationship with a man in Kopong.
'Investigations are ongoing to locate the suspect, who will face a defilement charge,” he said.
The teenage girl was subsequently referred to Princess Marina Hospital, where she is currently admitted and receiving treatment. Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
