The event comes back and looks to position itself as a key platform at the intersection of culture, business, and the creative economy in Botswana. Speaking during a media engagement recently, Stanbic Bank Botswana manager- Marketing segments, Otsile Marole highlighted the growing significance of the festival.
She noted that it has evolved beyond being just another date on the entertainment calendar.
Instead, it now serves as a dynamic space where music, fashion, food, and lifestyle converge with entrepreneurship and economic participation.
Reflecting on the inaugural edition, Marole pointed to encouraging outcomes that have helped shape this year’s direction.
She said the event drew strong attendance, vendors reported early sales success, while content generated from the festival extended its reach far beyond the physical venue through digital platforms.
“These insights gave us a clear indication of where the opportunity lies,” Marole said, emphasising the untapped potential in linking cultural expression with tangible economic benefits.
This year’s theme, “Where Urban Culture Lives,” captures the vibrancy and ongoing evolution of Botswana’s urban creative scene.
Marole explained that the theme aims to reflect and amplify what is already taking place organically across various sectors, while providing a more structured and scalable platform for growth.
She said the festival is expected to once again bring together a diverse mix of creatives, entrepreneurs, and small businesses, offering them visibility and access to wider markets.
From live performances to curated vendor spaces, the event is designed to foster both cultural celebration and commercial opportunity.
Marole reiterated Stanbic Bank’s continued commitment to supporting initiatives that empower participants across the ecosystem.
“Our role remains consistent we support platforms that enable participation, particularly for creatives, entrepreneurs, and small businesses,” she said.
Stanbic Bank's Communications and PR manager, Ratang Motladiile said the event's impact has been immeasurable, translating into, real jobs, and real economic participation.
'Now, as we move into the second edition...We are scaling the impact, we will increase the security personnel, increase the hostesses, we are definitely Increasing drivers, crew, and the broader working team.
