General Farm Worker x1

A reputable and progressive ranch is seeking a hardworking and reliable General Farm Worker to join the team at Sandveld Farms. The successful candidate will assist with a broad range of daily farm operations under the supervision of farm management.

Key Responsibilities

Feeding, watering and general care of livestock

Assisting with rearing and basic treatment of animals

Planting, watering, weeding and harvesting of animal feed crops

General maintenance of fencing, roads and farm infrastructure

Assisting with upkeep of water systems including dams, boreholes, pumps and pipelines

Landscaping and maintenance of the farm compound

Operating basic farm machinery and equipment safely

Assisting with repair and maintenance of farm structures and supplies

Carrying out any other farm duties as directed by management

Requirements

Previous experience in a farming or agricultural environment is an advantage

Basic understanding of livestock care and crop farming

Ability to operate light farm machinery and equipment

Valid driver’s licence required

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to work in a remote outdoor setting

Good physical fitness and stamina

Reliable, punctual and self-motivated
