JOB CONTEXT
The Operations Manager is a pivotal role at the heart of the business. The Operations Manager oversees all operational aspects of company strategy, helps set strategic goals and is responsible for the flow of operations information to the Managing Director. The Operations Manager will interact fully with consultants, colleagues, clients, client’s representatives, auditors, local authorities, suppliers and contractors in accordance with our policies, systems, processes and procedures. The Operations Manager navigates through a large variety of stakeholders (BU’s, Regional Office functions) and are a trusted partner of these and will be required to maintain effective relationships.
JOB PURPOSE
The Operations Manager is responsible for the active management of all operational personnel, successful implementation of projects, managing the entire logistics function consisting of order to delivery including regulatory approvals, is also responsible for the site risk and safety program.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Liaise with management team to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress
Responsible for personnel management, monitoring and evaluating the performance of all operations staff including recruitment, training, coaching, development, and corrective counselling.
Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation
Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
Maintain high service levels in the warehouse
Manage the efficient scheduling and accurate execution of shipments
Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations and meet the Medicines Regulatory Authority and Principal’s quality standards of WHO Good Distribution Practice.
OTHER
Act as Responsible Pharmacist
Act as Regulatory Pharmacist and Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance
Identify and manage business risks.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy
Registration with BHPC
EXPERIENCE
5+ Years in a Distribution environment | at least 2 years in similar role
