Are you a detail-oriented and experienced housekeeping professional with a passion for delivering exceptional standards in luxury hospitality? One of our safari tourism clients is seeking a dedicated Executive Housekeeper to lead their camp housekeeping and laundry operations.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the overall management and delivery of housekeeping and laundry services at camp. Operating as the lead for all housekeeping functions, the role ensures that guest villas, public areas, linen, and uniforms are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
Working closely with camp management and operational teams, the Executive Housekeeper oversees the planning and execution of daily housekeeping activities, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and alignment with luxury hospitality standards. The role also maintains strong operational control over housekeeping processes, including stock and linen management, while leading, training, and motivating the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional service.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
•
Qualification: A qualification or diploma in hospitality management, housekeeping or a related field. Formal training in housekeeping operations or hotel/lodge management is an advantage.

Experience: At least five (5) years’ experience in housekeeping within large and/or international hospitality operations. Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory or management role.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
•
Housekeeping & Laundry Operations | Oversee all housekeeping and laundry operations across guest villas, public areas and back-of-house spaces.
•
Guest Experience & Quality Standards | Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest comfort across all areas of the camp.
•
Leader & Team Management | Lead, supervise and support housekeeping and laundry staff, and manage schedules and training programs..
•
Stock Management | Monitor housekeeping and laundry stock levels to ensure uninterrupted operations.
•
Compliance, Hygiene & Safety | Ensure housekeeping and laundry operations comply with company policies and procedures, promoting hygiene, cleanliness and safety.
•
Facilities & Operational Coordination | Identify maintenance issues within guest villas, laundry facilities and other on-site areas and coordinate with the Technical Services team for resolution.
