JOB DESCRIPTION
The Procurement Manager is responsible for end-to-end procurement and inventory management and ensuring cost-effective sourcing of goods and services to support uninterrupted camp operations. The role oversees supplier coordination, purchasing, logistics, and stock control within the unique constraints of a remote environment.
The role also serves as the system owner for the camp’s procurement and inventory platform (Nebula Suite), ensuring accurate data management, reporting, and continuous process improvement. Working closely with operational teams, the position maintains strong financial discipline, system adoption, and adherence to internal controls.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Qualification: A qualification in procurement and supply chain management, business administration, logistics management, operations management, systems, commerce, or a related field.
Experience: At least five (5) years’ experience in procurement and/or related field. Practical experience in procurement systems or ERP platforms is required; experience with Nebula Suite is advantageous.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Strategic Business Partnering | Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure provision of procurement services responsive to business needs.
Procurement, Sourcing & Logistics | Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across the Procurement function.
Financial Management & Reporting | Develop stock and inventory budgets based on forecast occupancy and other inputs provided by or in collaboration with management. Leads strategic procurement reporting, aligning sourcing, cost optimisation and financial performance insights
Compliance & Audit | Maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with all internal and external compliance and audit requirements. Co-ordinate, manage and oversee stock takes.
Nebula Suite Management | Manage all aspects of the Nebula Suite management system and support its implementation across the business.
Staff Management | Conduct training on processes and systems in camp and at Head Office.
