Lesego told Mmegi Online that 'Talk Talk' returned home around 5am on Sunday and went straight to sleep. 'He usually sleeps after a late night out, so people thought he was resting as usual. His Sunday soccer mates passed by, but decided to leave him to rest. It was only late in the afternoon between 4pm and 5pm, after concerns, that children were asked to check on him, only to find him unresponsive,' Lesego narrated. News of 'Talk Talk's passing spread on social media on Sunday night, with the Botswana Football Association (BFA) president, Tariq Babitseng officially confirming his death through a statement a while ago.

His former clubs, Township Rollers and Extension Gunners also paid tributes through statements on their social media pages. Lesego said funeral arrangements were underway with no confirmed date of the burial at press time. Motlhabankwe who died at 46, enjoyed a long successful career particularly with Gunners, Rollers and Chiefs. He became an integral member of the Zebras during the Jelusic Veselin's era, and was also part of the side that took part in the first ever Africa Cup of Nations finals in 2012.
