Man killed while pushing vehicle off the road in Mogoditshane

Confirming the incident, Mogoditshane Acting Police Station Commander, Assistant Superintendent, Mompoloki Ramaphoi, said the accident occurred between 2am and 3am along the A10 (Gabane–Kanye) road, near A10 Mall.
Ramaphoi explained that the deceased had reportedly run out of fuel and was attempting to push his vehicle out of the road when he was hit by an Audi from behind .
“The victim was rushed to Nkoyaphiri Clinic, where he was certified dead on arrival by medical personnel,” he said.
The driver of the Audi, a 40-year-old man, has since been arrested and charged with causing death by careless driving. He remains in police custody as investigations continue.
Ramaphoi has urged motorists to exercise caution, particularly during night time driving.
“We plead with drivers to remain vigilant at all times and to reduce speed, especially when driving alone where their visibility is impaired by darkness,” he said.
Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
