What began as a personal journey of reflection and spiritual exploration has blossomed into a continental movement celebrating connection, creativity, and shared humanity. Tsogang, meaning “Awaken,” marks the next stage of this creative journey.

Set to be released on April 10, 2026, the album brings together approximately twenty artists from Southern Africa, fusing gospel, Afro-jazz, soul, and contemporary African pop. Local talents like Lioness Ratang, Alefa Amos, Kago Afrika, Samantha Bise, and Tshepozion collaborate with regional stars, including South Africa’s MaGumede Wenu and Mthobisi Guadazi, and Zimbabwe’s Zoloe.

Bhembe told Arts&Culture that Tsogang is more than just an album, but a cultural conversation. He said the mantra, 'Remember. Rise. Awaken', urges listeners to honor their roots, embrace growth, and awaken a collective consciousness. He explained that each track embodies Ubuntu, highlighting how individual creativity thrives within a nurturing community.

For Bhembe, Tsogang continues a vision: to create art that heals, connects, and inspires across borders. “Music is our language of unity,” he says. “Through collaboration, we remind ourselves and the world that African culture is alive, evolving, and capable of awakening souls,' he said.

With its powerful blend of traditional wisdom and contemporary sound, Tsogang promises to be a milestone in Southern African music, an album where spirituality, artistry, and community converge. Most of the songs were recorded and engineered at Simz Records, Melodic Sounds, and 205 Entertainment.

The latest project traces its roots to Bhembe’s book, From Roots To Revelation: Heal Discover Grow Create, launched on 13 December 2025 at Maitisong Theatre. The book explored healing, self-discovery, and personal growth through African wisdom, and it inspired the formation of the From Roots To Revelation Zion Choir, whose Zion-influenced music has resonated across Southern Africa, blending traditional spirituality with contemporary choral sounds.
