His defiance follows a narrow 2-1 loss to Gaborone United (GU) in a BH National Women’s First Division Southern Stream clash on Sunday.
In what was billed as the biggest fixture of the campaign, GU under William Monene showed late resolve to snatch all three points at the GU Stadium, tightening their grip on second place while piling pressure on their rivals.
For Mosetha, however, the bigger picture remains intact even as “Pitbull” falters against direct competitors.
“We lost two games but we are not the only team to lose two games. This should not disturb us,” said Mosetha, brushing off concerns over the back-to-back losses that have left her side fourth, 12 points behind log leaders BDF XI, albeit with games in hand.
“We continue planning for the next games, one game at a time.”
Monene, on the other hand, welcomed the result but struck a cautious tone.
He pointed to inefficiency in front of goal despite his side’s dominance, while singling out Double Action goalkeeper Tsotlhe Mphezulu for praise.
GU started brightly in front of a fair-sized crowd, forcing early saves from Mphezulu, but it was the visitors who struck first.
Mbapuea Hangara did well on the wing before setting up Dimpho Sedirwa, who curled her effort into the top corner in the 33rd minute.
Double Action carried their lead into the break, but GU responded almost immediately after the restart. Lesego Radiakanyo brought the hosts level with a well-taken free-kick three minutes into the second half.
The equaliser sparked sustained pressure from GU, with Mphezulu producing a string of fine saves, including denying Obonetse Rathari twice and Ontlametse Gaonyadiwe late on.
Just when it looked like the visitors might hold on, GU found a breakthrough deep into stoppage time. From a short corner routine, Kesegofetse Mochawe delivered a cross that Gaonyadiwe met with a decisive header to seal the win.
Double Action now turn their attention to a crucial midweek encounter against third-placed Jwaneng Galaxy, as Mosetha looks to steady the ship and keep their title ambitions alive.
