VACANCY: MAINTENANCE FITTER

Master Farmer Feeds (Pty) Ltd T/A has a vacancy for a fully qualified and experienced

Maintenance Fitter at its Feed Mill, Nutri Feeds Botswana, located in Pilane.

About the role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will perform maintenance,

repairs, and equipment installations for a high-capacity feed mill facility, while

leading a small team of artisans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

l Ensure scheduled maintenance on plant equipment is completed within

prescribed timeframes.

l Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues in mixers, grinders, conveyors, and

pellet presses.

l Respond timeously to all mechanical and emergency breakdowns to ensure

minimum downtime.

l Carry out equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades as required.

l Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tag Out, Hot Works, and

Confined Spaces.

l Maintain accurate records of work performed, material usage, and breakdown

reports.

REQUIREMENTS

l National Craft Certificate (NCC) in Maintenance Fitting or Mechanical Fitting.

l 3–5 years post-apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial

environment.

l Experience in a feed mill setting is highly advantageous.

l Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and technical drawings.

l Physically fit and capable of working at heights and in confined spaces.

l Must be a citizen of Botswana.
