All Kasi Zebras' t-shirts sell well

All Kasi director, Barnes Maplanka told Mmegi Sport yesterday that since the jerseys hit the market, the sales have been good. He said the sales could be better if the Zebras were playing. He asserted that when the Zebras play, most people want buy replica shirts. The Zebras have been inactive since crashing out of the 2010 AFCON/World Cup qualifiers.

Maplanka said that the response they have been getting from the public about the new gear is very positive. He explained that people said they liked the quality and design of the shirts. He added that they will put other range of Zebras' wear on the shelves.

All Kasi is one of the first local clothing labels. It entered the Zebras fray on September 1, becoming the national team's technical sponsors in place of the multinational Puma. The All Kasi sponsorship was welcomed by many, as it brought about improved packages like included two new kits in every official game. For the first time, this allowed the Zebras' players to exchange shirts with their opponents at the end of matches. Zebras put on their new kit when they took on Madagascar in the 2010 World Cup/African Nations Cup qualifier in Antananarivo in September.

The jerseys' cost between P300 to P350 in many outlets around the country. The kits are also on sale at the Botswana Football Association (BFA) Lekidi Centre. During the launch of the sponsorship, it was announced that the BFA will get five percent royalties on the sale of Zebras merchandise paid in arrears quarterly.
