Tender Title: A TENDER FOR PROCUREMENT OF WORKS CONTRACT FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF PREFABRICATED OFFICE FOR LEGAL AID BOTSWANA IN GHANZI
Sealed Tender offers are invited for the provision of a Works Contract for construction of prefabricated office for Legal Aid Botswana in Ghanzi. FIDIC Red Book 1999 shall be used in this contract
The Works Contract will include the following:
a. Office construction
b. Installation of services (electrical and mechanical)
c. External works (paving, drainage, carports)
The Procuring Entity is Legal Aid Botswana
Procurement Method is: Open Domestic Bidding Method
Tenderers must, in order to be considered for the award of the contract, be registered with the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) in the following categories:
Grade A, Code: 01, Building Construction Works and Maintenance
Sub code(s): 03, Prefabricated Buildings
Grade OC
Code: 02, Electrical Engineering Works and Maintenance
Sub code(s): 01, Electrical Installations
Grade OC
Code: 08, Mechanical Engineering Works and Maintenance
Sub code(s): 01, Airconditioning/Refrigeration systems.
This tender is reserved for Citizen Contractors in line with Section 76 of the Public Procurement Act. Presidential Directive CAB 19 (B) 2013 of Local Procurement Scheme (LPS) will be applied at the Financial Evaluation stage.
Tenderers to purchase all their products from 100% Citizen locally based manufacturers and service providers, provided that the goods and services are locally available, competitively priced and meet tender specifications in terms of quality standard as certified or recognized by Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS) or other recognized certifying bodies.

Documents may be collected during working days and hours from 0800 hours to 1300 hours and 1400 hours to 1630 from 16 March 2026 upon presentation of a receipt for a non-refundable deposit of P500 payable at Legal Aid Botswana Account: ABSA,
Branch Code 002, Account number; 1009644 Mall Branch Youth owned companies are required to pay a non-refundable deposit of P250.00 as per Presidential Directive CAB
(B)/2015.

A compulsory site visit or pretender meeting with representatives of the Procuring Entity will take place at Plot 74 & 75 opposite Ghanzi Magistrate court in Ghanzi on 24 March 2026 starting at 09:00 until 11:00 hrs. Location map is attached
NB: Companies shall not share representatives; Each company must be represented by a single representative. A company representative shall have a minimum of Diploma in any building construction or related field with a valid Practising Certificate.
Representatives are to provide Certified HARD copies of Academic Certificate, National identity card (Omang) and Practising Certificate (ARC, ERB or QSRC) during site visit.
Non-complying representatives will not be eligible for registration.
Failure to attend site visit will lead to disqualification of the bidder.
The closing date and time for receipt of sealed tender offers is 10:00 hours on 31 March 2026. Late tender offers will not be accepted.

• The Bid Submission Method is: One Envelope Submission Method in which a tenderers financial and technical offer is submitted together in one sealed envelope
