AFGRI DIVISION: CONSTRUCTION AND FORESTRY

VACANT POSITION: SPECIALIST JOHN DEERE: CONSTRUCTION & FORESTRY

AFGRI Equipment Botswana requires the services of a suitably qualified, well-motivated, and results-driven candidate to be appointed in the above-mentioned vacant position at our Gaborone branch.

Required work experience

• 5 Years’ relevant experience

Required minimum Education/Training

• N2 Qualified Technician/Equivalent

• Relevant heavy diesel trade qualifications

Technical Competencies

• Qualified John Deere/Bell Technician

• John Deere/Bell Equipment Product Knowledge

• Knowledge of the Construction, Mining, Forestry and Agricultural environments’.

• Good time –keeping

• Communication Skills

• Driver’s License

• John Deere/Bell Equipment Product Knowledge

Behavioural Competencies

• Customer service and interpersonal behaviour

• Quality Assurance and service delivery

• Safety cautious

• Ability to work well independently and in a team

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Repair and maintain of Construction and forestry equipment

• Build and maintain good customer relationships and ensure that customer queries and complains are resolved within the prescribed turnaround time.

• Update job cards

• Comply with Health and Safety Legislation at all times

• Ensure customer satisfaction and follow-ups

• Undergo recommended training to enhance technical skills and product knowledge

AFGRI DIVISION: AGRICULTURE

VACANCY: SPECIALIST JOHN DEERE TECHNICIAN

AFGRI requires the services of a suitably qualified, well-motivated and results driven candidates to be appointed in the above-mentioned vacant position tenable at our Pandamatenga branch.

Requirements:

• Qualified John Deere Technician

• Have relevant heavy diesel trade qualifications.

• 5 years relevant work experience as a qualified Technician

• John Deere equipment knowledge advantageous

• Knowledge in the agricultural environment

• Strong Communication Skills -people & customer service skills

• Computer Literate

• Police Clearance

• Valid Driver’s License and PRDP

• Able to work long hours & travel extensively throughout Botswana.

Duties Include but not limited to the following:

• Repair and maintain agricultural equipment and associated implements.

• Diagnose, repair, or replace defective parts, using hand / special tools.

• Carry out warranty work on new equipment.

• Administration: Field Service Reports, Quotations and Repair Orders

• Load DTAC cases on problems found in the field.

• Installation and setup of precision farming equipment

• General housekeeping and cleanliness

• Comply with Health and Safety Legislation always.

• Customer satisfaction and follow ups.
