The 65-page read was written by first-time author and Deputy Training Coordinator, Naomi Toise.
Published by Poeticblood Publishers, the book is an eye-opener into how one envisions growing older.
“This memoir captures the lessons, missteps and defining moments that shaped my journey before turning 30, offering a candid look at what it means to chase dreams, confront fears and redefine success on one’s own terms,” said Toise in an interview.
Toise’s style of writing is relatable, easy to understand and highlights what every human being may encounter in their life journey.
“I had a reflection of my life at the age of 29, observed my experiences and asked myself if given the chance to do life again, what would I do differently? Then I thought, let me hand the lifeline to a younger me who is swimming in a pool of confusion, trying to make it in life and live the spirit of my agemate who thinks all is lost,” explained Toise. This thought process gave her the motivation to pen this book, for it can serve as a reference point to her life in future. Now 32 years age, Toise wants to take ownership and control of her journey.
She is of the view that it is important to navigate life at her own speed and enjoy whatever is on offer.
“This book is not just a portfolio of my life experiences, it is a testament to the power of growth, reinvention and embracing the unknown,” elaborated Toise.
The author wants the reader to grasp that life before 30 is not about having it all figured out; it is about becoming brave enough to keep going while you figure it out. Toise is a storyteller, adventurer, and seeker of meaning in the chaos of life. “Before turning 30, I had already experienced a lifetime’s worth of highs and lows, navigating love, loss, ambition and self-discovery” said Toise in closing.
