Role Overview
The SHE Manager will be responsible for
implementing and maintaining health, safety and
environmental systems for the underground
development project.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement SHE policies and
procedures
Ensure compliance with safety standards and
regulatory requirements
Conduct risk assessments and incident
investigations
Promote a strong safety culture across the project
Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Safety Management,
Environmental Science or related field
Minimum 8 years’ experience in undeground
mining SHE management
Role Overview
The Mine Superintendent will oversee underground
development activities and ensure operational
efficiency during the mobilisation and execution
phases.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise underground mining operations and
development activities
Coordinate with engineering and project teams
Ensure production targets and safety standards
are achieved
Manage underground personnel and contractors
Requirements
Mine Overseer / Mine Captain / Mine
Superintendent Certificate of Competency
Minimum 10 years’ experience in underground
high-speed development mining operations as a
mine superintendent
Strong leadership and operational management
skills
Safety Officer
Role Overview
The Safety Officer will support the implementation of safety management systems and ensure compliance with
site safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct safety inspections and audits
Monitor compliance with safety regulations
Assist with incident investigations and reporting
Promote safe work practices on site
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety
Minimum 5 years’ experience in mining or construction safety
Knowledge of underground mining safety standards will be advantageous

Project Scope
Underground lateral development works for the Karowe Diamond Mine Underground Project (UGP), connecting
the production and ventilation shafts to the orebody and building all supporting infrastructure.
Group R Mining has been awarded the lateral development contract by Lucara Botswana PTY LTD for the Karowe
UGP — a major milestone in extending the mine’s life and maintaining Botswana’s status as a world‑class diamond
producer.
As part of the project’s development phase, we are recruiting candidates for multiple positions across mining,
engineering, operations, safety, administration, and heavy equipment operations.
