Medical Sales Representative

Responsible for generating revenue, forecasting business and market needs,

achieving sales targets and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities / Key Accountabilities

• Achieve sale targets by interacting with doctors, pharmacists, wholesalers and

health care professionals within government

• Maintain existing client relations by gaining an understanding of their

requirements and needs

• Assist in developing business strategies and identifying key opinion leaders in

both the state sector and private sector throughout Botswana

• Provide scientific and clinical information about products to healthcare

professionals and conduct product presentations, detailing, and educational

sessions for medical staff.

• Conduct data interpretation and analyse market trends from raw data using

basic statistical analysis skills to key stakeholders. (proficiency in Microsoft Excel

is an added advantage)

• Explain biochemical, metabolic and scientific mechanisms of products to

healthcare professionals and simplify key concepts to non-medical personnel.

• Experience in explaining formulations and mechanism that target aesthetic

concerns for medical grade cosmetic products.

• Experience in training beauty therapists and aesthetics doctors on product use

for facials, chemical peels and concentrate solutions.

Key Account Manager Requirements:

• Medical related qualification / Nursing/Biology & Biochemistry related

• 2 & half years experience in medical sales and related medical professionals is

an advantage

• Knowledge of sales and marketing

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills

• Strong negotiation and leadership skills.

• The ability to handle multiple client accounts and lead a team

• Strong understanding of basic pharmacology, cosmetic, medical and scientific

terminology.

• Valid driver’s license a requirement and willingness to travel.
