The event, organised by Conduire Projects (Pty) Ltd trading as Maverick Motor Events, promises to be the best show in the country, featuring 32 leading automotive brands and service providers.
Coordinator of Maverick Motor Events, Joseph Khengere, explained that the motor show will position Francistown as a new hub for premium lifestyle business and automotive innovation.
'People in Francistown are hungry for shows or events similar to the motor show,' he said.
Khengere stated that the event is expected to attract a wide range of dignitaries, including Cabinet ministers, Members of Parliament, and the city mayor.
'The motor show will feature a wide range of exhibitors, including new car dealerships, vehicle finance, insurance providers, vehicle tracking firms, trucks, buses, and exotic and classic cars,' he appraised about the event.
Khengere also said that attendants will also get an opportunity to see bikes and car clubs, as well as transport and logistics stakeholders.
One of the highlights of the event will be the vehicle test drives, available for VIP guests on Friday and the general public on Saturday, subject to valid driver's licences.
'The experience is intended to give consumers a hands-on and informed vehicle purchasing opportunity. The show is not about fun and taking the cars out of the showroom, but making sales for exhibitors,' he emphasized.
The event coordinator, revealed that a family-friendly programme is planned for the occasion, including a children's corner with go-karts and quad bikes, and a motor show after-party on Saturday evening.
The exhibition will be open to the public on Friday afternoon and Saturday. Speaking about the host, he said that Toro Junction Mall is the perfect venue for the event as it offers exhibitors a prime location and a good return on investment.
'The mall makes a prime location to host corporate events where exhibitors can get the right returns on investment,' Khengere said.
He also shared that the motor show is just a beginning, with plans to host three or four more events at the mall before the end of the year.
