The Jwaneng Galaxy skipper, with 12 goals, has built a healthy cushion from his nearest competitors. The four-time Golden Boot winner seeks a return to the top of the charts after missing out last season. He is eyeing a historic fifth crown. But in a league as tight and competitive as this, even a comfortable advantage demands constant vigilance.

Sekwai is emerging as the newest and most immediate threat. His seven goals, highlighted by a recent hat-trick, signal a striker hitting top form at the perfect moment.

With 10 matches remaining, Sekwai’s surge injects fresh drama and poses a tangible challenge to Sesinyi’s reign, forcing the leader to stay sharp every time he steps onto the pitch.

Thatayaone Kgamanyane, last season’s Golden Boot winner for Gaborone United, has returned from injury and has six goals.

Although his last full campaign yielded just 15 goals, the lowest return for a winner in the past decade, his experience, instinct, and finishing ability make him a lurking danger capable of quickly closing gaps if he finds his rhythm in the closing stretch.

The field beyond the top three has thinned. Tefo Mofokeng, sidelined for the rest of the season while on loan at Mochudi Centre Chiefs, and Eric Ookame, who left for Morocco, are out of contention. This leaves the Golden Boot battle sharply focused on Sesinyi, Sekwai, and Kgamanyane.

Sesinyi’s 12 goals bring him within striking distance of Kgamanyane’s previous tally, yet the league’s all-time record of 31 goals set by Terence Mandaza in 2009–2010 remains a distant landmark.
