The two sides played to a 1-1 draw at Tlokweng VDC ground, a result that left a five-point gap between Dinare and log leaders, Prisons XI. Mmesi was hopeful that despite the setback, they still believe they are very much in the race and will do all it takes to get back to winning ways.

“We are still in the race. We will fight for each and every point that is available up until the last game of the season and see what will happen,” he said.

Dinare are still sitting on position two with 36 points with five games left before the season comes to an end. The coach said despite the draw against Notwane, they played well.

Mmesi noted that they needed to bury the chances that came that way in the early stages of the match, which they missed.

He said after eventually taking the lead, they allowed Notwane to re-group and get back into the match which resulted in the equaliser.

However, the coach stated that he will not faulter the players in that it was a pressure game, adding that what is important is to re-group quickly and focus on the next matches.

For Notwane, the draw could serve as a motivation going forward in their quest to avoid relegation. They are currently sitting at position 10 with 18 points.

Meanwhile, Prisons XI maintained their good run with a 2-1 win away to Thamaga Shooting Stars on Saturday. They are still perched at the summit of the league table with 41 points from 17 games.

Jwaneng Young Stars are third on the log with 29 points while Tsetseng United are still sitting dangerously at the bottom of the log with only six points accumulated thus far.

On Saturday, they failed to utilise their home ground advantage and suffered a 1-0 defeat to Young Stars. Majweng are also still in danger despite their 1-1 draw with Security Systems. They have so far collected 16 points and sit at position 15.
