Lubricants Supplies Botswana Pty Ltd is the Sole Agents and Distributors of Castrol Branded Retail, Industrial and Mining Lubricants, chemical Cleaners and Donaldson filters for the whole of Botswana.

We invite suitably qualified individuals to apply for position below tenable in Gaborone.

HEAD OF TECHNICAL SERVICES (ONE)

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for the company strategic direction and all major company operations and provide an efficient, professional front line technical support services for lubricants and filtration products.

Reports to Group Chairman

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Mechanical Engineering degree with at least 10 years relevant work Experience.

Experience in a technical environment (Maintenance) experience in lubrication management in mining and Industrial environment.

Demonstrate success in building and maintaining technical and commercial relationships with industrial and mining clients and other market segments.

Proficiency in English.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Maintain and develop relationship with key customers through delivery of competitive technical services

Provide advice on general tribological matters and investigate, manage and resolve specific product related claims.

Provide advice on general product issues including new product technological developments in the oil industry or Castrol developments

Maintain standards of quality assurance and product stewardship

Provide technical product training to staff and customers

Provide technical response to field staff and customers on emergency product spills advising on safe disposal and treatment options

Assist customers in interpretation of laboratory wear analysis results and reports

Conduct lubrication surveys and prepare lubricants charts

Provide condition monitoring services to industrial, mining and motoring customers

Assist with new product field trials, identify opportunities.

Overall management of sales and operational staff at all depots.
