Coming into last weekend’s defeat against Morupule Wanderers, Popa Popa had gone off for two games without a win or a draw. The side fell short against city rivals, Gaborone United by three goals to one.

Prior to that, the once feared Rollers were defeated by Jwaneng Galaxy by two goals.

Reacting to the third consecutive defeat, Seabo said the players should not be faulted for the poor string of results after enduring a lot over off field issues.

“It is painful to see what these boys are doing at training under difficult circumstances that they have gone through. For them to give their all in every game they play without even thinking about external factors,” Seabo said.

Visibly distraught by the recent results, the coach appealed to the loyal fans of Rollers to rally behind the players in these trying times and highlighted that they cannot turn the tide around in a week’s time.

“It will take time. This was a heavy burden to all of us and it is not going to take a week to solve.

“We are talking about the psychological aspect of these players other than that we cannot be satisfied with these losses, it is something we cannot accept,” he said.

Reflecting on the game against Wanderers, Seabo stressed that the team does not have a lethal striker who can convert the chances they create.

“We are always working on our finishing aspect, but without putting our striker, Sesinyi under a lot of pressure. He is still young coming from First Division and for him to be given such a responsibility for a big club sometimes is unfair,” Seabo said.

The gaffer said it is quite unfortunate that the team could not fill that position for some certain reasons.

“We needed a natural number nine who would give us a lot of goals especially with that fact that we are creating so many chances but unfortunately we can’t sign,” Seabo said.

Though the team is infringed by off the field challenges, he extended gratitude to the newly ushered in administration led by Fish Pabalinga in trying to change the current state of the club.

“We are grateful to the management for always trying to improve the situation and trying to get the team back to where it belongs but it will take time,” Seabo said.

Meanwhile Wanderers head coach, Agang Mogotsi was beaming with joy that his side came out tops against Rollers.

“We needed this win and we needed three points to get confidence of the boys so that we get close to reach our targets. And our target for this season is top four,” he said.

Mogotsi further highlighted that it was not difficult for him to prepare for struggling Rollers.

“Preparations for Rollers are not that difficult because you know what they pose, what they have and it’s easy,” he said. This weekend's results meant that Rollers drop to position seven with 23 points while Wanderers moved above Popa with 24 points.
