Driver injured following collision with truck

Confirming the incident, No.13 District Officer Commanding, Senior Superintendent Mmoloke Sebako, said the accident occurred when a truck driver attempted to avoid colliding with a vehicle in front of him.
“The truck driver reported that the vehicle he was following suddenly applied the brakes. In an attempt to avoid hitting the car from behind, he swerved to the right and ended up colliding with an oncoming Nissan Magnite,” said Sebako.
Sebako said the Nissan driver sustained a fractured right leg and was rushed to Sidilega Private Hospital, where he is currently hospitalised and reported to be in a stable condition.
“Both vehicles had only their drivers on board at the time of the accident. The truck driver escaped uninjured,” he said.
Police investigations into the accident are ongoing.
