Mahalapye Central Police Station Commander, Superintendent Meshach Ranku, confirmed that they are investigating a defilement case involving a 17-year-old girl from Boseja Ward, which was reported on January 19.

The matter was reported by the victim’s distressed mother, who informed the police that her daughter, a form five student at Madiba Senior Secondary School, had allegedly been defiled. According to the report, the minor gave birth earlier this month.

The suspect, who is known to the victim and resides in the same ward, is currently still at large.

The Police are currently on a manhunt for the suspect.
