“We have been hosting the event since 2010, and it has grown from a house party to a major crowd-pulling event in Lobatse,” says Polelo. “This year’s event is special because it’s our comeback after relocating to England in 2023. People thought it would never return, but we’re back, and we are bringing the heat,” he said. The NHTP is a lifestyle event that attracts a stylish, vibey, mature, and decent audience from all corners of Botswana. And this year, the lineup is fire, with electrifying performances expected from DJ 4DD, DJ Trax, DJ Mr Tryce, DJ Leb Gee, Mc Theo, THABO, DJ Sly, DJ Dallas, and DJ Tallie D. “We have brought in new faces to our lineup, and we’re excited to showcase the local talent,” Polelo says.

“NHTP fully supports local artists, and we’re proud to feature some of the best Batswana DJs and MCs.” The event will kick off at 11 am, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early for smooth entry. Cooler boxes are allowed, but no quarts will be permitted inside the venue. A bar will be available, serving beverages and cocktails, and cooler boxes will be charged at P40 after 5 pm. Security is a top priority, with tight measures in place to ensure everyone’s safety. “We’ll have visible security personnel and police presence to prevent crime,” Polelo assures. “We have also added more lights to improve security,” he adds.

Despite facing challenges, including a lack of sponsorship and limited venues in Lobatse, Polelo remains committed to hosting the NHTP annually. “We host successful events every year with proper planning and coordination,” he says. “We encourage big companies to come on board for a partnership,” says. Local social groups, Madebene a Lobatse and Marasta a Lobatse, have also pledged their support for the event. “They’ve really missed it, and we’re happy to have them on board,” Polelo says. Corporate stalls are available for P2500, while advertising stalls go for P600. Don’t miss out on the fun! “We are excited to welcome everyone back to the NHTP,” Polelo says. “It is going to be a day to remember! We will continue to host the NHTP every year, and we will keep pushing the boundaries to make it bigger and better.”
