KANAKU - In the sun-kissed plains of Mopako Ranch, a majestic Tswana horse named Never Satane has been stealing the show, leaving a trail of awe and adoration in its wake. This breathtaking stallion has become the darling of Kanaku, captivating hearts with its electrifying speed and unbridled spirit.

When the gates open at the Mapoko Ranch Horse Riding Derby, all eyes are on Never Satane, the reigning champion and crowd favourite. Its name is whispered in reverence, its exploits the stuff of local legend. And as it thunders down the track, mane flying, the roar of the crowd is deafening.

'Never Satane is a force to be reckoned with,' says Kgosi Moratiimang Tshubalebone, the horse's proud owner. 'It was born in my household, and I've seen it grow into a champion. “But I never knew it had this kind of talent until we entered the Mopako Ranch Horse Riding Challenge.'

That was in 2023, and Never Satane hasn't looked back since. With its fearless jockey and unwavering determination, it's taken the local horse racing scene by storm, scooping top honours and earning the adoration of fans from Kanaku to neighbouring villages.

But it's not just about winning - Never Satane has become a symbol of community pride, inspiring a new generation of horse riders and jockeys.

'This horse has shown our youth that with hard work and dedication, they can achieve greatness,' says Tshubalebone. 'I'm grateful to Mopako Ranch for creating this platform and giving us the opportunity to showcase our talent.'

As Never Satane prepares for his next big challenge, Kgosi Tshubalebone is taking no chances.

The horse is getting a well-deserved rest, with a diet of hay and plenty of tender loving care.

'It's time to pamper our champion,' Tshubalebone says, beaming with pride. He adds that he realised that Never Satane did much better in 800 meters races than the 1,200 meters races that he normally took and therefore would keep him in 800 metres races.

Never Satane's fans are eagerly awaiting his next move, knowing that this Tswana stallion is capable of conquering the world. As one fan put it: 'Never Satane is not just a horse – he’s a movement.'

The community is buzzing with excitement, and Mopako Ranch is gearing up for another unforgettable event. With Never Satane in the running, the competition is sure to be fierce. But one thing is certain; this Tswana stallion has already won the hearts of many, and his legacy will continue to inspire for generations to come.
