Botswana registers 83 New Year births

Out of the 83 New Year births, 42 are boys and 41 are girls .

'During New Year’s Day the Ministry of Health delivered 83 babies across its hospitals. The total number of babies born include 42 boys and 41 girls,'reads a statement from the ministry .

The Ministry acting spokesperson , Mompoloki Lekoto further shared that Mahalapye District Hospital delivered a set of twins, a boy and a girl.

Meanwhile Scottish Livingstone Hospital, Molepolole leads deliveries with 11 births, 6 boys and 5 girls.

'The Ministry congratulates the families and the delivery teams for a job well done,' a statement from the ministry further reads.
