Angry lover kills girlfriend, burns another man's house

According to Shoshong police station commander, Superintendent Boemo Bok, the incident occurred at around 5am after the suspect allegedly followed his 21-year-old girlfriend and her new 'lover' from a local bar to his house.
“It is alleged that the suspect heard that his girlfriend had left the bar with another man and followed them to the man’s place,” Bok said.
Upon arrival, the suspect allegedly pounced on the couple, stabbing both of them with a sharp object. He stabbed the new boyfriend’s thigh, but unfortunately the woman died on the spot.
Bok said after the attack, the suspect allegedly set the house, which was thatched with grass, on fire.
“The injured man managed to escape with injuries, screamed for help and neighbours woke up and helped to put out the fire out,” he said.
Bok confirmed that the suspect has since been arrested and is currently in custody, assisting with investigations.
