A statement earlier today from the housing parastatal's board says Sefawe’s final day will be December 31.
“During her tenure as acting Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Sefawe provided steady leadership and strategic direction during a critical period for the Corporation,” the Corporation said. “The BHC Board acknowledges her commitment, professionalism, and valuable contributions toward ensuring operational stability and advancing the Corporation’s strategic objectives.”
The board has appointed Sekgele Daniel Ramahobo as acting Chief Executive Officer effective 1 January 2026.
“Mr. Ramahobo will assume full responsibilities of the office and will provide leadership and continuity during this transitional period,” the board said.
Sefawe was first appointed acting CEO in July 2021, before Nkaelang Matenge took the role in a substantive capacity in November 2023. Matenge left the BHC in late October, with Sefawe appointed as acting CEO.
