“It is alleged that on December 23, 2025, at around 9pm, the deceased had a misunderstanding with his friend, aged 31, who is also a resident of Mathiba Ward,” Mathaba said.

He added that during the tassle , the suspect allegedly hit the deceased below the lower abdomen with a pickaxe.

“The deceased did not report the matter to the police, and those who allegedly witnessed the incident also failed to report it,” he said.
