After a year of successfully hosting kiddies’ events across the country, Ranko told Arts&Culture this week that he is pulling out all the stops to deliver a memorable, all-inclusive family experience that blends music, relaxation and celebration under the summer sky. The event features a stellar line-up of local artists like Kabelo Tiro and FME DJs, just to name a few.

Catering for both adults and children, Ranko revealed that the event promises to be a joyful meeting point where generations come together to welcome Christmas in style. “This event is about bringing families together. Children will be spoiled with fun activities like PlayStation games, jungle rides and face painting, while adults unwind in a picnic-like environment, reflecting on the year that has passed and asking for blessings for the New Year,” Ranko added.

Ranko, who has hosted most of the Thamaga Bush Farm Sundays at Adashe Gardens before, highlighted that the venue will be transformed into a lively festive playground, filled with laughter, music and the aroma of good food.

“As DJs set the mood and artists light up the stage, children will dart between games and rides, their faces painted with colour and excitement, while parents relax on picnic blankets, soaking in the holiday atmosphere. This is going to be epic,” Ranko said.

Ranko believes this edition will stand out from the kiddies’ events previously held at the venue. “Unlike the other events, this one brings the whole family together. It’s going to be special and truly memorable,” he said.

Celebrating many years of existence, Thamaga Bush Farm Sundays has grown into more than just an entertainment event. Ranko credits it with keeping the youth of Thamaga away from social ills while injecting life and vibrancy into the village entertainment scene.

“We have seen how this event has positively impacted the community. It has given young people a safe space to enjoy music and socialise, and it continues to uplift our local artists,” he said.

With Christmas just around the corner, Ranko has one message for revellers: “People should come in large numbers and welcome Christmas in style.” As the sun sets over Adashe Gardens on December 23, Thamaga Bush Farm Sundays is set to deliver an unforgettable festive experience where music meets family, and the spirit of Christmas is celebrated together.
