Dinare FC eye top spot

The two sides open up the league’s 14th round at Gaborone United Stadium. Kickoff is at 5pm. Dinare are currently sitting at position two on the log, three points behind leaders, Prisons XI, who will only be active on Saturday. The former, at some point this season, led the pack before hitting a slump, allowing Prisons XI to overtake.
For a couple of weeks now, the Warders have not shown any signs of losing grip at the top. Dinare, on the other hand, have been giving a spirited chase, and a victory against Young Strikers will put them level on points with Prisons XI.
A win will take them to the top because of their superior goal difference. However, they face a tricky side led by Kgomari Mothuba. Although they have been a shadow of themselves this season, Young Strikers can stop any side, as evidenced by their 1-1 draw against Notwane last weekend.
Both sides cannot afford to lose the match, considering that Young Strikers are living dangerously in the relegation zone. Currently, sitting at position 10, Young Strikers have collected 14 points from 13 games.
They have the same number of points as Tlokweng United, who occupy position 11, with Young Strikers avoiding the red zone just through a better goal difference.
Immediately after the final whistle tomorrow, Gaborone United Stadium will then host another exciting encounter between Notwane and Thamaga Shooting Stars. Kickoff is at 8pm. Interestingly, the two sides have each accumulated 17 points so far, with one goal separating the two sides on the log.
Shooting Stars currently sit at position sixth position with Notwane occupying the seventh position. Stars lost their last weekend’s encounter against Tlokweng United at home, and all eyes are on them to see how they fare away from home.
Notwane are hoping that their fortunes return following the re-appointment of Daniel ‘Chicco’ Nare as the head coach. The gaffer returned after his short stint with Dinare FC.
Before his departure, Notwane were on a winning streak but hit a rough patch soon after he left. Following his return, Notwane are hoping that they return to winning ways. A victory for either side will take them to position four on the log before Saturday’s matches.
On Saturday, current log leaders Prisons XI will be at home to struggling Tsetseng United. Prisons XI were held to a 1-1 draw by Security Systems last weekend, whilst Tsetseng United held high-riding Holy Ghost to a 0-0 draw. Jwaneng Young Stars will be at home to Tloweng United.
