PACERS LIVE launches its first edition on December 20

The event will be held at the Pacers Venue, situated between Ramaphatle and Thamaga. It is expected to attract over 6,000 attendees. Organised by Pacers Experiential Events, the festival combines music, culture, and lifestyle elements, positioning itself as a new entry in the country’s growing live entertainment sector. The festival brings together a lineup of local and regional artists from Botswana and South Africa, offering a mix of genres that range from Amapiano to traditional rhythms and contemporary beats. The roster includes names such as Culture Spears, Scar, Ezra Neethings, Baxon, Veezo View, DJ FirstLady, DJ Manzah, Khoisan, DJ Chrispin, Young Stunna, Dlala Thukzin, Ba Bethe, DNB Gogo, DJ Nel, Scotts Maphuma, Tribby Wa Bhoza, Oscar Mbo, Kamo Mphela, Rosetta D33P, and Ricky Lenyora.

The inclusion of both established and emerging acts reflects an effort to balance popular demand with broader cultural representation. Ahead of the main festival, organisers hosted the PACERS LIVE X Piano Sunsets on 29 November 2025. The activation, which featured a Summer Chic dress code and Amapiano music, was designed to introduce festival-goers to the event’s format while also testing logistical arrangements and crowd management strategies. Feedback from the prelude event will reportedly inform operational planning for the main festival. The venue setup is intended to accommodate multiple activities simultaneously. Attendees will have access to two stages, the Main Stage and the Dome Digital Stage, as well as VIP and VVIP lounges, a food court branded as the Coke Village, multiple bars, a Christmas market, and designated brand activation areas.

Dedicated parking and ride-hailing pickup zones will be in place to manage traffic flow. Organisers have implemented safety measures including fully fenced grounds, controlled entry and exit points, professional marshals and bouncers, on-site emergency medical and fire services, and a first-aid room staffed by a nurse. Multiple sanitation points are also available, and cooler boxes are permitted until 6 PM. The festival has attracted a range of corporate partners. Current collaborators include Schweppes (Coca-Cola), Orange Botswana, KBL (Flying Fish), Gabz FM, JB Sports, Spar, Choppies, Liquorama, and Thamaga Engen. Opportunities remain for additional brands to participate through on-site activations and visibility, indicating that the organisers are exploring further commercial partnerships. Tickets for PACERS LIVE are available via Webtickets and selected retail outlets.

They provide access to both the main event and the preceding Piano Sunsets activation. The launch of PACERS LIVE adds another layer to Botswana’s festival calendar, reflecting a broader trend of festival growth in the region. By combining music, lifestyle, and community-focused elements, the event aims to offer attendees a multifaceted experience while also testing the capacity and infrastructure for large-scale live events in Botswana. Whether the inaugural edition will establish a lasting presence remains to be seen, but organisers appear to be focused on delivering a structured and safely managed festival environment.
