Both sides registered important victories over the weekend with the Warders smashing four goals past Union Flamengo Santos. Dinare also comfortably eased past Tsetseng United with a 2-0 scoreline.

However, right next to the two most talked about contenders, sits Holy Ghost who have been silent but also quickly moving up the ladder.

Led by head coach, Phillimon Makwengwe, the Mmopane-based side did not have the best start to the season as they had expected but have since hit the right gear, looking to end the year on a high.

Over the weekend, they registered an all-important 1-0 win over Security Systems to stay within the top bracket.

Speaking to Sport Monitor recently, Holy Ghost assistant coach, Israel Aobakwe played down title ambitions saying they do not want to put themselves under pressure.

He however also mentioned that they will keep pushing and will see how it ends.

“But when the chance (to go for the league title) arises, we will go for it,” Aobakwe said after beating log leaders, Prisons XI,

As it stands, only four points separates them and log leaders while they are three points below second place side, Dinare FC.

Jwaneng Young Stars dropped two points over the weekend after playing to a 0-0 draw against Thamaga Shooting Stars.

They are now sitting at position four with 19 points. Security Systems are fifth with 17 points and they are level on points with Shooting Stars on position six.

Meanwhile, Tsetseng United remain rooted at the bottom of the league table with only four points.
