His side took their winless run to three games over the weekend with a 0-0 draw against Orapa United in an FNB Premiership match played at the GU Stadium on Saturday evening.
The result means Chiefs have only won twice in the last eight games, and only five times this season after 13 rounds of league. Magosi however remain fifth but fallen eight points behind the log leaders.
“We have a project and a mandate that is maybe different (from the expectations).
“The mandate is to build a good team that can compete in the coming season,” said Moloi after the Saturday draw.
Despite sitting inside the top five highest scoring teams in the league, Chiefs have only found the back of the net on five occasions in the last five games.
Moloi believes scoring goals will be a turnaround point for the team’s fortunes.
“We need to score goals, to create opportunities and score goals,” he said.
“You just seen here in the last moment with the goalkeeper to beat we could not score. We need to score goals, we win matches by scoring goals.”
Magosi had thought they had taken the lead on the ninth minute as Ibrohim Youssouf met a long ball with a beautiful volley but it was ruled offside.
The home side then enjoyed a slight dominance over the visitors but could not break the deadlock by halftime. Chiefs continued their dominance in the second half. The tie greatest chance was in the dying minutes as Kitso Mpuisang controlled a long ball inside the box, beat his marker but was disappointed to shoot straight at the goalkeeper.
As per the schedule, Chiefs will be away to TAFIC over the weekend before a home game against struggling Extension Gunners next Wednesday.
